Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

  • If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or just unsure of how to move forward, therapy can help. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counseling. Many of my clients come to therapy looking for clarity, healing, and a deeper connection to themselves. If you're considering it, that's often a sign you're ready to begin.

  • I specialize in working with adult women who are navigating:

    • Anxiety, chronic stress, and overwhelm

    • Self-esteem and perfectionism

    • Life transitions, identity shifts, and grief

    • Trauma, emotional abuse, and PTSD

    • Codependency and relationship dynamics

    • Burnout, caregiving fatigue, and midlife challenges

If something in your life feels heavy or unclear, we can talk about it together.

  • My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I integrate several evidence-based modalities (including EMDR, mindfulness, psychodynamic, and person-centered therapy), but above all, I focus on building a safe and attuned therapeutic relationship. I tailor our work to your pace and goals; therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all.

  • Our first session is a chance to get to know each other. I’ll ask some gentle questions about what’s bringing you in, your history, and your hopes for therapy. There’s no pressure to “have it all figured out.” We’ll move at your comfort level. Most clients feel relief just from having a space to talk openly and feel heard.

  • Yes. I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions for women throughout Washington State. Online therapy allows you to access support from the comfort of your own space and can be especially helpful for those with busy schedules, care-giving responsibilities, or limited access to in-person care.

    • My standard rate is $100 per 50-minute session.

    • I do not bill insurance directly but can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

    • I accept all major credit cards, HSA/FSA, and payment is due at the time of service.

If you’re unsure about affordability or using out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to walk you through what that process can look like.

  • Most clients start with weekly sessions, especially in the early stages. We can adjust the frequency over time based on your needs and goals. Some clients come for short-term support, while others engage in longer-term work for deeper healing and growth.

  • That’s completely normal. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, but it’s also an act of strength. You're not expected to know exactly what to say or where to begin. My role is to support you, guide the process, and create a space where you can feel safe, seen, and heard.

  • You can begin by scheduling a free 20-minute phone consultation. It’s a no-pressure conversation where we can talk about what you’re looking for and see if we feel like a good fit.
